kaladhar bapu is currently with microsoft india. he is presently setting up a proficient ux team for microsoft business solutions. one of the very firsts to bring usability to india, he also established usability engineering group at cordys with one of the biggest teams prior to microsoft. he was the manager of usability engineering group at cordys r&d, India. His determination to set up state of the art facilities in usability testing has shaped up Asia's best equipped Usability Lab. He was with Baan as a senior usability engineer prior to Cordys.
Bapu is most interested in designing easy and pleasurable to use products and services, that are ever increasing in complexity with emerging technologies. His focus is on experience design, human computer interaction, interactive architecture, visual design and socio-cultural aspects of technology. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from JNTU, Hyderabad and Master's degree in Visual Communication from the Industrial Design Center, Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Bombay.
As an enthusiast he has been extensively advocating usability and its relevance to professional, educational and user communities. he embraces entrepreneurial approaches to design and education. with a balanced, global, and well-rounded background in interaction design, practice, teaching, research, and leadership. As a visiting faculty he is spreading usability awareness among design, technology and business students at institutes like IIIT, Indian School of Business, indian institute of technologies, JNTU School of Planning & Architecture, SVcA, CSIIT, GRIET, vignan, Hyderabad and other engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. He has been mentoring students interested in pursuing their career in design. he is committed to making a positive difference in how we educate our next generation through strategic, technological and organizational innovations.

His articles entitled 'Usability Primer' was presented at NASSCOM, 'Dealing with cross-cultural issues’ for a book ‘Offshoring Information Technology’ which is published at Cambridge University press. He presented ' Man Machine Mantra' a program launched at IESUP conference, Hyderabad held in March 04. He was invited Speaker at First India Human Computer Interaction (IHCI) 2004, Bangalore.
He is the primary contact for India to celebrate World Usability Day at Hyderabad.
